đź’ž About Us: Love, Real Life, and the Work In Between

We’re Markera and Devon — partners in life, love, parenting, healing, and hustle.

Together for nine years, we’ve built a blended family of five that runs on love, resilience, and a whole lot of figuring-it-out-as-we-go. Two of our three kids came into this relationship with Markera, but from day one, Devon claimed them with his whole heart — and they love him just the same. A few years in, we had one more together, and life got even more real.

Devon came into this relationship with a complicated past — one marked by abandonment, loss, and a lot of growing up without the emotional tools he needed. But he chose to face that pain head-on. Today, he’s not only done the inner work to become a more grounded man and partner — he’s also a certified electrician, business owner, and hands-on dad. His company handles everything from maintenance and repairs to auto detailing, and he’s constantly training and leveling up.

Markera is the heart of the home and the soul of our storytelling. A creative in every sense — she sews, crochets, paints, prints shirts, and breathes life into anything handmade. She’s also always exploring ways to make money online, from content to coaching to books that tell her truth. As a mother and intuitive coach, her work is rooted in healing, artistry, and honesty.

Like any real couple, we’ve had our ups and downs. But this past year nearly ended us — and instead of walking away, we chose to start over. Not by pretending things were fine, but by pulling it all apart and building it back stronger.

This podcast, Love Evolution: Alchemy in Action, is a reflection of that journey — and an invitation. If you’re working through your own restart, wondering if love is still worth fighting for, or just trying to make it all make sense… welcome. You’re in the right place.

🌿 Meet D'Sana

Writer, coach, mother, partner — and a woman who’s rebuilt herself more than once. At 44, Markera carries the wisdom of someone who’s walked through loss, betrayal,a spouse's addiction, and emotional collapse… and still believes in love.

She is the voice behind the Strong Est’d 1980 series — a collection of deeply personal books chronicling her journey from the heartbreak of early relationships, through the trauma of addiction, to the raw courage it takes to walk away from what no longer serves. Her story isn’t tied up in bows. It’s lived, layered, and still unfolding — including her most recent chapter: choosing to stay and rebuild a relationship after nearly losing it.

Markera believes healing begins with self-honesty, and that choosing to grow together — even through pain — is a sacred kind of alchemy.

🔥 Meet Devon

Devon is 36 and proof that where you start doesn’t have to define where you’re going. Abandoned by his mother, with a father who drifted in and out, Devon was raised by his great-grandmother — the one person who truly showed him consistent love. When she passed in his teens, life got harder. He was left to navigate manhood with extended family who cared but didn’t always know how to support his emotional needs.

Despite those early wounds, Devon made a choice: to do the inner work, to show up for love, and to break cycles he was born into. His story isn’t one of perfection — it’s one of progress, of owning his part, and of learning how to build something different. Something real.

Through this podcast, Devon shares his voice, his growth, and his hope that men can be emotionally present, spiritually grounded, and deeply loving — even if no one taught them how.
